These terms govern your use of TutHut. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to everything below. Please read it — we've kept it as clear as possible.

Use TutHut to learn not to harm, cheat, or exploit. Your content stays yours. Our platform stays ours. Be honest, be respectful, and we'll work hard to give you the best learning experience possible.

Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TutHut, including our website, mobile app, or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use TutHut. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TutHut.
Agreement on Behalf of an Organization
If you're using TutHut on behalf of an institution, school, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms. In that case, "you" refers to that organization.

Eligibility
TutHut is intended for users aged 16 and older. By using the platform, you confirm that: We collect information you provide directly to us as well as certain data generated automatically when you use TutHut.
- You are at least 16 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- If you are under the age of 18 you have consent from your guardian
- Your use of TutHut does not violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
- Any information you provide to us is accurate and truthful
We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their age or eligibility. We do not use your personal data to serve third-party advertisements, and we never sell your data to anyone. We collect information you provide directly to us as well as certain data generated automatically when you use TutHut.

Your Account
To access most TutHut features, you'll need to create an account. You are responsible for:
Security
Keeping your password confidential and not sharing account access with others.
Accuracy
Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keeping it updated.
Activity
All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
Reporting
Notifying us immediately at support@tuthut.com if you suspect unauthorized account access.

Acceptable Use
TutHut is a learning platform. You agree to use it only for its intended educational purpose and in a way that is lawful, respectful, and constructive.
You May:
- Create and manage your classes, notes, and assignments
- Earn and redeem Sunset points through legitimate study activity
- Communicate with TutHut support for help
- Share feedback and feature suggestions
You May Not:
- Use TutHut to cheat, plagiarize, or facilitate academic dishonesty
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or other users' accounts
- Upload, post, or transmit harmful, abusive, hateful, or illegal content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape any part of the platform
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate rewards or usage metrics
- Impersonate another person, instructor, or TutHut staff member
- Use the platform for commercial solicitation without our written permission
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations

Your Content
TutHut allows you to create, upload, and store content such as notes, assignments, and study materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
License You Grant Us
By uploading or creating content on TutHut, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the TutHut service. We do not claim ownership of your work.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and warrant that it does not infringe any third-party rights, violate any laws, or breach these Terms. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

Sunsets & Rewards
TutHut's Sunset points and reward system are designed to recognize genuine study effort and keep you motivated. Important things to know:
- Sunsets are earned through legitimate platform activity (studying, completing tasks, consistency)
- Sunsets have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash
- Sunsets are non-transferable between accounts
- We reserve the right to adjust, expire, or reset Sunset balances if fraudulent activity is detected
- Reward items (accessories, customizations) are for in-app use only and have no resale value
- TutHut may modify, suspend, or discontinue the rewards program at any time with reasonable notice
No Manipulation
Using bots, exploits, or any artificial means to earn Sunsets is a serious violation of these Terms and will result in permanent account suspension and forfeiture of all accumulated points.

Subscriptions & Payments
TutHut may offer free and paid subscription tiers. For paid plans:
Billing
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
We offer refunds within 7 days of initial purchase. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable unless required by law.
Price Changes
We'll notify you at least 30 days before any subscription price changes take effect.
All prices are shown in USD unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction.

Intellectual Property
TutHut and its content including but not limited to the logo, brand identity, UI design, software, features, and all original text are owned by TutHut and protected by intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the TutHut platform without written permission
- The TutHut name, logo, and "Sunsets" branding are trademarks of TutHut
- Feedback or suggestions you provide to us may be used without obligation to compensate you
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights from TutHut to you, except the limited license to use the platform as described herein.

Disclaimers
Platform Provided "As Is"
TutHut is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
TutHut is a study organization and productivity tool. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, grades, or results. Learning success depends on many factors outside our control, including your own effort and dedication.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of content you or other users create within the platform, including notes, study materials, or class information.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TutHut and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
In no event shall TutHut's total cumulative liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to TutHut in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
Liability limitation policy is subject to the jurisdiction and practices of the State of Delaware.

Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time:
You Can Leave Anytime
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
We May Suspend or Terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless prohibited by law or if notification would compromise security.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you in full.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days in advance
- Continued use of TutHut after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms
- If you disagree with updated Terms, you may terminate your account before they take effect

Governing Law & Contact
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of TutHut shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by binding arbitration if unresolved.
